Q – What part of MFA’s work is closest to your heart?

A – I know all parts are important, but investigations, especially outside the U.S., touch me strongly. Videos of the brutality that investigations find are what made me aware in the first place of the conditions farmed animals endure. And I’m grateful to those carrying out the investigations who regularly witness what bothered me so much.

Q – What changes for farmed animals do you most want to see?

A – I would like the idyllic pasture scenes featured on the packaging for animal products to go away—or at least for there to be far greater awareness that they mostly do not reflect reality.

Q – Which of MFA’s successes do you feel happiest about?

A – It makes me happiest to see the large numbers of people reached, especially the over 1.5 million pledged vegetarians, and the support that they have been provided.
